Following our exciting time trading at Glastonbury Festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset in June (which was an incredible experience for us!) the festival fun has continued for Khushi Hands.
We went along to Teston Bridge Kite Festival on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th August to be part of the 30th anniversary event. Although there was very little wind, it was still a great weekend – and a great opportunity to talk to people about Khushi Hands.
This weekend (25th-27th August), we are at A New Day Festival at Mount Ephraim Gardens in Faversham. This is a three day family-friendly festival of music, featuring the best of classic rock, prog, blues and roots. There are also music workshops and craft stalls on site.- including our Khushi Hands. If you’re attending the event, come along and say hello.
At A New Day we are promoting Khushi Feet’s upcoming fundraising event: a Murder Mystery Night with three-course dinner on Saturday 4th November, also at Mount Ephraim. For more information about this event and to book tickets got to the Khushi Feet web site.
Khushi Feet is Khushi Hands’ sister charity which raises money and awareness for schools for street children in Kolkata.
We are selling our recycled sari products – which have been hand-crafted by underprivileged women in Kolkata – at the Glastonbury Festival this week. Come and find us by the circus big tent. If you would like to virtually be part of our Khushi Glastonbury experience (from the comfort of your own home), look out for our social media updates. We’d love to share the experience with you!
WE’RE GOING TO GLASTONBURY!
Yes, that’s right… Khushi is going to be heading down to this year’s Glastonbury Festival for some seriously muddy Khushi Feet fundraising and Khushi Hands trading!
Khushi Hands has been offered a trading stall. We are looking forward to selling our hand-crafted recycled-sari artisan products to the 175,000+ people attending the festival.
Khushi Feet, meanwhile, is providing a team of volunteers to do the litter picking on site in exchange for donations to the charity.
Glastonbury is the largest festival in the world, showcasing some of the most famous artists on the planet. Khushi is only a small organisation but we are always striving to make our fundraising and awareness raising as big and exciting as possible. So we are thrilled to have the amazing opportunity to attend Glastonbury Festival 2017 – 21st-25th June at Worthy Farm.
We are very pleased to announce the official launch of Khushi Hands at the Khushi Christmas event on Saturday 10 December 2016.
